Settings
Settings
Where organisation-wide options live, and who can change them.
"Settings" in Springtrack isn't one page — it's a handful of dedicated pages, each covering a different area:
- Organisation settings — company name and timezone, financial year and tax, number/date/currency formatting, and time-tracking defaults (rounding, timers, capacity).
- Timesheet approvals — the org-wide approvals switch and its email notifications.
- Invoice & estimate settings — your letterhead, default payment terms, logo, and email templates.
- Task and expense categories — the lists used to tag time entries and expenses.
- Danger zone — exporting your data, closing, or permanently deleting the organisation.
- Your account — your own name, email, and personal timezone. This one's private to you, not shared with your org.
Who can change what
Most of Settings is Owner and Admin only to view, and Owner only to save changes on the main organisation settings, timesheet approvals, and danger-zone pages. Invoice & estimate settings and the category lists can be saved by Owner or Admin. Your own account page has no role restriction — anyone can update their own name and timezone.
Settings that live elsewhere
A few other org-wide, settings-shaped screens aren't grouped under Settings in the app, so they're documented in their own sections instead:
- Team roster and roles — see Team & Roles.
- Cost rates and per-member capacity — see Cost rates and capacity.
- Subscription, plan, and seats — see Billing & Plans.
- Organisation name, switching organisations, and your personal accent colour for an organisation — see Switching organisations.
- Per-project approval mode (who approves that project's time — Owner, Admin, or Client) is set on the project's own settings page, not here — see Timesheet approvals. It only takes effect once timesheet approvals are switched on org-wide.
