Danger zone

Exporting your data, closing, or permanently deleting your organisation.

At Settings → Danger zone. Every action here is Owner-only.

Export data

Downloads a zip of CSVs covering clients, projects, task categories, client contacts, team, time entries, invoices, invoice line items, payments, estimates, estimate line items, expenses, and a summary — plus any uploaded expense receipt files. Every reference is resolved to a readable name (not an internal ID), and money is shown as plain decimals.

Close account

Revokes everyone's access immediately, but doesn't delete anything. Your financial records are retained for 5 years to meet standard record-keeping requirements, then purged automatically — nothing is destroyed on the day you close.

Delete permanently

Deletes everything immediately, with no retention window — this can't be undone. If this is the only organisation you belong to, your login itself is deleted too, and you're signed out as part of the same action.

Closing keeps your records intact behind the scenes for tax/legal purposes; deleting permanently does not. If you're not sure which you need, Export data first and choose Close account rather than delete — closing can't accidentally destroy something you'll need later.
