Time tracking

Rounding, week start, capacity, duration display, timer limits, and the notes rule.

At Settings → Time tracking. Only the Owner can open it. Everything here applies to the whole organisation.

SettingWhat it doesOptionsDefault
RoundingHow each time entry is rounded wherever time is billed or reported: invoices, time reports and exports, Timesheets totals, the Dashboard's unbilled figure and project budgets. Each entry is rounded on its own, then added up. The timer and each entry still show the time as tracked, and the exact tracked seconds are always kept — see Timer limits and rounding.Nearest / Round up / Round downNearest

Minimum session (minutes)A timer stopped before this is up isn't saved, and a message tells you so.1–60 minutes1 minute
Require a note on every time entryIf on, a time entry can't be saved without a note, and stopping a timer asks for one — see Starting and stopping a timer. Enforced by the server, not just the form.on / offoff
