Finding and filtering invoices

Browsing invoice history, custom date ranges, and filtering.

The Invoices page shows the totals and chart for whichever period you're looking at, and a table you can filter, search, sort, and page through below.

Choosing a period

The Period control sets what the totals, chart, and table below are all showing at once — pick This month, This quarter, Fiscal year, or All time, or use the arrows next to it to step back and forward one period at a time.

Stepping back keeps going as far as your invoice history does — the arrow disables once you've reached your very first invoice, so you always know when there's nothing further back to see.

A custom date range

Click Custom range next to the Period control to pick an exact Start and End date instead — useful for something that doesn't line up with a month, quarter, or fiscal year, like "everything from this client's first invoice to today."

All time

All time shows your entire invoice history at once — the totals and table cover everything, and the chart groups by year instead of by month so it stays readable even after many years of invoices.

Use the Status filter to narrow the table to one or more statuses at once — Open is a shortcut for Sent, Partial, and Overdue together. The search box matches on invoice number, client name, or project name.

Sorting

Click any column header to sort by it — click again to flip the direction. Springtrack remembers the last column you sorted by, so the next time you open Invoices with no other sort chosen, it picks up where you left off.

Sharing a view

Everything above — the period, custom range, status filter, search, sort, and page — is part of the page's URL. Copy it from your browser's address bar to share the exact same view with someone else, or bookmark it to come straight back to it later.
